VirtualDJ Toolbar is a browser extension that propagates together with unsafe applications like Webcake adware and hijacks search engines in all Internet browsers, though it has visual appearance in Internet Explorer only. The VirtualDJ Toolbar itself is sound mixing and DJ'ing application; however the toolbar is not associated with the main program. The presently used search engine is Ask.com, which was common choice some time before. This search engine pays money for software developers that induce computer users to use the search engine. While Ask.com is a genuine website, such toolbars are an annoying way to push their services. Many target computer users might fail to understand what application had pressed their Internet browser preferences to be modified. Such browser settings won't revert after the program gets uninstalled and even when VirtualDJ Toolbar is removed, PC users will still be stuck with hacked search engine. It is advised to rid the PC of all unidentified programs before removing VirtualDJ Toolbar manually. A decent anti-malware application can also be used to find and uninstall adware applications pertaining to VirtualDJ Toolbar.
