Vinphone.xyz is a fraudulent website dedicated to the propagation of a browser-based tactic. By using various social-engineering tricks, it attempts to lure people into subscribing to its push notification services. As a result, all users who have failed to notice the red flags and have fallen for the scheme will start seeing unwanted third-party advertisements displayed on the screen of their devices.

Vinphone.xyz uses various misleading messages to trick the users. In some cases, it might rely on people's curiosity by displaying a background image with the Disney castle and the text - 'Click Allow to play the video.' Others might see an image with the logo of a popular freeware application. Vinphone.xyz will then state that users have to click 'Allow' to start the download.

No matter what the specific fake message might say, the result is always the same - Clicking 'Allow' grants the unsafe website, all the browser permissions it requires to carry out its scheme. Affected users will soon start seeing advertisements for adult websites or suspicious software updates.
Closing the browser will not be enough to stop the advertisements from being generated. Instead, open the 'Settings' menu of the browser, locate the 'Permissions' tab, and remove everything that has been granted to Vinphone.xyz.
