Video Downloader (Video Downloader Virus), otherwise known as Video Download Virus, VideoDownloader Virus, is a potential security infection that may include adware and browser hijacker capabilities. Video Downloader may use various marketing methods such as automatically installing itself on the PC or redirecting the Web browser to suspicious websites. Video Downloader may integrate itself into a PC and add itself into Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome Web browsers as a plug-in, add-on, browser extension or Browser Helper Object (BHO) with or without a PC user's approval. Once installed, Video Downloader may install packaged free programs such as Social Privacy DNS, restrict computer users from accessing the Internet, cover the screen of the PC with random pop-up advertisements and reroute computer users to questionable websites such as Search.conduit.com. Video Downloader may also gather the computer user's Internet surfing information and transfer and use it for the aim of targeted marketing.
