Web surfers that are interested in managing archives online may be attracted to the UnzipApp Toolbar that is developed by Mindspark Interactive Network, Inc. Unfortunately, the UnzipApp Toolbar is discontinued as of April 2016, and its official page at www.unzipapp.com is down. However, UnzipApp is classified as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP). Users had to uninstall the UnzipApp software to use their favorite start page. You might use the WaybackMachine at web.archive.org to get a preview of what www.unzipapp.com looked like back in the day. The UnzipApp software was promoted as a browser plug-in that would allow users to access easy file compression tools. The UnzipApp program was compatible with Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Firefox. Web surfers that wanted to use the complete suite of features that UnzipApp offered had to install a helper module to recognize RAR, ZIP, 7Z and 7ZIP file types on the Web.
