UnknownFile, or Unknown File, is considered an unwanted adware because UnknownFile may create various problems to the computers UnknownFile is installed. UnknownFile advertisements may start appearing when the computer user downloads and installs free applications that have UnknownFile bundled with it. The computer user also may have installed UnknownFile when online shopping in order to get the deals that UnknownFile promises to display. UnknownFile advertisements may affect Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. UnknownFile does display offers, deals and similar content, but to accomplish this, UnknownFile may change the browser settings and collect the computer users browsing history. UnknownFile also may lead the PC user to potentially threatening websites and open a path for the installation of other PUPs and adware.
