Ultra Tab Search

The Ultra Tab Search is a Potentially Unwanted Application (PUA) that changes the browser's homepage and default search engine without the user's knowledge and consent. When the Ultra Tab search infects a computer, it installs the corresponding browser extension and starts redirecting all the user searches through unrelated and potentially unsafe websites. This is done by replacing the browser's homepage and default search engine with ultra-search1.com. It is a fake search engine that cannot generate unique results, yet attackers use it for generating advertising revenues.

Users typically install the Ultra Tab Search on their computers unwillingly, as malware developers bundle such PUAs within other programs' installers. Browser hijackers also sneak into target computers through advertisements compromised with corrupted scripts. You can uninstall Ultra Tab Search through your Windows Settings manually; however, you also can use an automated malware removal product to clean your PC thoroughly.
