UltraPowerPC
UltraPowerPC is PUP that is known to spread via bundled software or spam email attachments. Once UltraPowerPC has been deployed to a computer, the application may create a Windows start-up service, as well as several registry entries to ensure that its components will launch whenever Windows boots up. When UltraPowerPC is started, it may perform an exaggerated system scan and provide the user with a report containing a list of optimizations, fixes, and hints that may improve the computer's overall performance and health.
However, our research shows that these claims are exaggerated, and UltraPowerPC doesn't have the features required to scan the hard drive, Windows registry, and other PC components for errors and problems that may affect performance in a negative way. Users might also be asked to purchase the full version of UltraPowerPC in order to fix the issues, but be careful with the reports of UltraPowerPC seriously.
