TwistGrips Ads

By GoldSparrow in Adware

TwistGrips ads may appear in your web browser out of nowhere, and you may have no idea why they are being displayed. These ads are usually injected in web browsers by a dubious browser extension that goes by the name TwistGrips. There is little to none information about this extension available online, so it's primary purpose is unknown. However, there are two things that are sure:

  • TwistGrips may be installed without the user's knowledge.
  • TwistGrips may bother you with numerous ads that may appear on any web page you visit.

These two reasons alone are enough to classify TwistGrips as an unreliable web browser extension. It may be distributed through software bundling, so it may be installed alongside legitimate software. Keep in mind that TwistGrips' request for permission to install may be cleverly disguised, so make sure always to read the installation instructions carefully. This way you can make sure that you won't install any unwanted 3rd-party apps whenever you are installing a freeware or shareware program.

If TwistGrips is already installed on your computer, then you should remove it as soon as possible, so you can put a stop to the TwistGrips ads. We recommend doing this by installing an anti-malware software suite, and using it to scan and clean your computer.
