Ransomware states that your computer has been blocked for violating the French law.Laduree's website was hijacked in order to affect victims' computer systems with ransomware, which is known to be TROJ_RANSOM.BOV. TROJ_RANSOM.BOV simulates messages from the National Gendarmerie (in French: Gendarmerie nationale), usually known as the French Police Force. TROJ_RANSOM.BOV illustrates a window that covers the full desktop and demands ransom. Apart from affecting French computer users, who accessed the Laduree web page, there were also several malware threats spotted in Japan. Laduree pastries are popular among the Japanese; actually, the Laduree.fr only translates to French, English and Japanese.
