Trojan.Vigorf (Vigorf.A) is a generic detection of a hacktool. Hacktools are not necessarily dangerous in and of themselves. When an anti-malware solution detects something as a hacktool it’s usually because of what the detected file does. Hacktools are usually parts of "cracked" versions of software. Cracks are versions of paid software that have been modified to work for free. Cracks very often contain various types of malware. They are a suitable infect vector as users who download cracks are not going to have access to support.
Hacktools don’t usually have any noticeable symptoms. Often, the only way the user will find out about the hacktool is if an anti-malware program is running and detects the hacktool. While a hacktool like Vigorf isn’t likely to cause any real damage, it is possible it comes along with trojan infections or backdoors which can facilitate the download and installation of serious threats.
