Trojan.Slanret.A!rootkit is a Trojan with rootkit funtionalities that strives to disguise itself on the corrupted PC to bypass the detection and removal of security programs. Trojan.Slanret.A!rootkit invades the targeted computer without a PC user's permission and knowledge. Trojan.Slanret.A!rootkit can make files on the infected PC invisible to the computer user by changing General Folder and File Options into 'hidden'. Trojan.Slanret.A!rootkit may change browser settings and, thus, redirect the hijacked web browser to doubtful websites. Trojan.Slanret.A!rootkit enables cybercriminals to obtain remote access and control over the targeted computer system. Trojan.Slanret.A!rootkit is distributed via spam email containing malicious attachments, infected websites, insecure downloads, and many other means.
