Trojan.Mayachok.1 is a Trojan that is a part of the Russian ransomware. Trojan.Mayachok.1 generates and distributes the ransomware in order to steal money from computer users. Trojan.Mayachok.1 blocks the targeted computer and Internet connection. Then, Trojan.Mayachok.1 urges PC users to create a connection using spare channel, in case of urgent need to stay online. To affirm the aim of switching to the emergency channel, the victim is asked to send SMS to phone number provided in the message illustrated by Trojan.Mayachok.1. Sending the message causes withdrawal of unexpectedly large amount from the PC user's mobile account as hackers give a number in order to send SMS registered as paid mobile service. Trojan.Mayachok.1 can also drop more malware infections to the affected PC.
