Trojan.FakeAV!gen32 is a type of Trojan that intentionally misrepresents the security status of a compromised machine. Trojan.FakeAV!gen32 can be spread by other malware or via drive-by downloads and malicious websites. Trojan.FakeAV!gen32 attempts to trick a user into purchasing rogue software in order to remove non-existent computer threats. Trojan.FakeAV!gen32 continually prompts a victim to pay for the rogueware by displaying annoying pop-ups, security alerts and scanners.
