Once inside a system Trojan-Clicker.Win32.Stixo.d will periodically load a designated webpage into a victim's browser, causing him/her to be redirected to malicious websites. Trojan-Clicker.Win32.Stixo.d is written in Microsoft Visual Basic and it uses a standard icon to disguise itself a legitimate installation program. Trojan-Clicker.Win32.Stixo.d creates a start-up registry entry to ensure that it is loaded each time the system is booted up. Trojan-Clicker.Win32.Stixo.d is also displayed as a malware detection in a fake scan result generated by the rogue security application Antivirus Vista 2010.
