Trojan-Mailer.Win32.Spambot is a non-existent trojan virus that is reported in fake security alerts initiated by the rogue anti-spyware application Spyware and Privacy Control System. The Trojan-Mailer.Win32.Spambot pop-up reads as follows:

"Subject: Trojan-Mailer.Win32.Spambot; Description: This Trojan sends email spam to your address book; Result: Threat blocked; Recommended: Make a full scan of your computer... Stop sending and remove spambot."

The goal of this fabricated security report is to intimidate users into purchasing the fake spyware remover Spyware and Privacy Control System, by causing them to think that the system is infected with a counterfeit trojan virus called Trojan-Mailer.Win32.Spambot.
