The Trendio browser add-on is promoted at Trendio.net as a tool that has the functionality of services like Outbrain.com and Revcontent.com. The Trendio browser add-on claims to help users find news and content easy. Essentially, the Trendio add-on pretends to be a content recommendation application. Security researchers reveal that the Trendio add-on falls into the category of adware and is developed by SuperWeb LLC. The Trendio adware works similarly to Oasis Space and may appear in the 'Programs and Features' module of your 'Control Panel' as a browser service. The Trendio adware may invite users to install the Systweak Support Dock software to make posts on their social media feed. Moreover, the Trendio adware may connect to servers that are used to deploy cyber threats like Sality and Cooexp. The Trendio adware is made on the Extension Factory platform and may operate on browsers like Safari, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
The Trendio adware may use ActionScript and CSS-styles to alter the layout of your favorite sites and load non-native advertising content. The ads by Trendio may include a list of trending items, sponsored links, promotions, offers, graphics and video commercials. Additionally, the Trendio adware may change your homepage and new tab settings to provide search results from online stores.
