The Tigo&Bully browser extension is reported to be advertised via pop-up windows that say 'Add Extension In Order to keep you in safe browsing.' The 'Add Extension In Order to keep you in safe browsing' pop-up windows may be presented when you click on ads and banners. However, the Tigo&Bully extension is not classified as a security tool, and its Chrome Web store page says:
‘Play with a friend or against the computer - Tigo&Bully web game’
The game "Tigo&Bully" resembles the Checkers game but instead of black and white disks, you are using tigers and bulls. A better look at the code of the Tigo&Bully revealed that the extension has more to offer than just a simple alternative to Checkers. The Tigo&Bully browser extension proved to function as adware that is programmed to change your default search to search.yahoo.com and generate ad revenue from the Yahoo Ads. The Tigo&Bully adware may offer users access to a fun game, but it will do so while your searches are rerouted to search.yahoo.com, and your online activity is shared with various ad networks without your knowledge. At this time, the Chrome Web Store page for Tigo&Bully is removed, but the creators of the adware may alter their product and upload a new version under a new name. The ads on search.yahoo.com should be clean, but the Tigo&Bully adware might substitute them with links to corrupted sites. You should take into consideration that Yahoo works with trusted advertisers but the links and commercials presented on search.yahoo.com may include insecure content.
