TextToTalk is an adware that is advertised to you like a program that reads the text in a text file and then turns it into speech coming from your computer's speakers or headphones. This sounds very useful, if only it were not for the fact that TextToTalk is quite an intrusive piece of software that will display advertisements whether you want them or not.
It infiltrates your computer in the usual manner that most such software employs. The TextToTalk adware is mostly installed on your computer bundled with freeware, and you might not even know that you have it until it's too late. This is because such freeware bundles often fail to disclose all the programs that they are installing on your PC or ask for your consent.
The TextToTalk adware is designed in such a way that it will fill your Web browser with a constant stream of advertisements. It works with Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Chrome and Firefox. The primary purpose of this software is not to provide you with a service but to push annoying ads into your browsing experience for the profit of its creators.
It works by taking control of Web browsers and redirecting them to unwanted Web pages every time you try surfing the Internet. It inserts ads in such a manner that you might mistake them being added by the creators of the page. Furthermore, it may replace legitimate ads with fake advertisements that are highly likely to lead you into installing potentially unwanted and harmful programs on your PC.
The TextToTalk adware is designed in such a way that you will be compelled to click on the ads that you are being shown, often leaving you with little choices on how to close them. This is why such harmful software is often used by hackers to 'prepare' your computer for a more severe infection. TextToTalk in itself is nothing more than a nuisance, but it can leave to much bigger issues if it's left neglected. This is why you should avoid downloading shady software bundles and have legitimate protection and removal tools at hand.
