The TechSmart Computer browser plug-in is published as a free program by Chrome Soft and SecureSoft and is advertised to help users make smarter purchases on Amazon and Best Buy. You can find the TechSmart Computer adware in the company of apps like BobyLyrics and the Picexa Viewer. However, the TechSmart Computer adware may not be a helpful program and may change the user's proxy settings to reroute his Web traffic to the 127.0.0.1 IP address via port 8118. The 127.0.0.1 IP address is part of the network of the Privoxy non-caching Web proxy service that provides its customers with advanced filtering capabilities.
