Swagbucks Toolbar is an unwanted toolbar that when installed on the targeted PC replaces the default home page, default search engine and new tab page with Search.swagbucks.com. Swagbucks Toolbart might also be named the SBTV Toolbar or Swag Code Toolbar. Swagbucks.com permits PC users to earn virtual currency by searching the Internet, shopping at their favorite retailers, engaging in other activities such as completing special offers, submitting polls, and phone recycling. Swagbucks Toolbar is owed by Prodege LLC. While the Swagbucks Toolbar itself and the website Search.swagbucks.com are not harmful and do not make any direct damage to the PC, having these might be very irritating to the computer user.
Whenever the PC user searches for anything online, he/she will get rerouted to the search page of Swagbucks or any other website that is advertised by the Swagbucks Toolbar. Although the PC user might not see big differences from, for instance, Google or Yahoo!, Search.swagbucks.com offers related search results mixed with sponsored links. The two types of the links do not look different; therefore, the web user might easily click on the sponsored link instead of a related one. Prodege LLC does not take any responsibility for the content it delivers, which means the PC user might click on a link that is harmful or take to a hacked website that is created to corrupt the PC with malware infections.
