Streaming has become a global phenomenon, and with numerous streamers spread across several streaming platforms, users could get quite overwhelmed when looking for specific content. Having a convenient way to search across various streams does sound appealing, but, unfortunately, StreamsSearch is nothing more than a browser hijacker designed to promote a fake search engine. All other supposed features could be barely functional.

Indeed, users will notice that something is wrong upon installing StreamsSearch on their computers immediately. The usual browser settings for the homepage, new tab page, and the search engine will all have been changed to now open and redirect to feed.streamssearch.com simultaneously. This is a fake search engine - it cannot produce a list of relevant results on its own. Instead, it redirects once more, this time through search.yahoo.com, for every search query initiated by the user.

The goal of applications such as StreamSearch is to generate traffic to their search engine and receive monetary compensation from third parties for injecting advertisements into the search results list. Some go even further and collect browsing and privileged data.
