Streaming Lab Tab

The Streaming Lab Tab is a browser hijacker installed on a computer as a browser extension or a program named “Streaming Lab Tab.” This Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) changes the affected browser’s homepage and default search engine to “streaming-lab.com.” As a result, each time the users open their browser or a new tab, they get redirected to this fake Web page. Search queries also are redirected to the search engine of the Streaming Lab Tab, which, in turn, redirects the users to search.yahoo.com.

The Streaming Lab Tab browser extension is offered through advertisements or installed unnoticed on a computer bundled with other free software. To avoid that, whenever you download and install freeware from the Internet, always use the Custom option as only this way, you can see which tools will be installed on your computer. The Streaming Lab Tab hijacker can be removed by deleting it and all its components from the list of installed programs.
