EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecard
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:
Ranking: The ranking of a particular threat in EnigmaSoft’s Threat Database.
Severity Level: The determined severity level of an object, represented numerically, based on our risk modeling process and research, as explained in our Threat Assessment Criteria.

The StartRevApp browser add-on is distributed as a tool that can provide web surfers with a highly-customizable browser homepage and automate the loading of user-predefined pages. You may encounter the StartRevApp software incorporated with third-party program installers and on lesser-known software distribution platforms. The StartRevApp add-on is built on the Corssrider platform and can work with Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer. The StartRevApp may appear useful to users, but it is deemed as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP). Security analysts note that advertisers that can use it to load advertising content in your Web browser support StartRevApp and display sponsored search results on Google and Bing. You should keep in mind that you may be supplied with links to untrusted websites and be suggested to install riskware such as the iWON Toolbar and Kasimos. Moreover, StartRevApp may edit your Windows Registry and change your default search provider to Safehomepage.com that is, ironically, associated with a browser hijacker. The activities performed by StartRevApp may decrease your Web browser productivity, and you may be redirected to low-quality software distribution platforms. The StartRevApp add-on may use JavaScript and ActionScript3 to substitute the safe ads on e-commerce portals like Amazon, eBay, and Best Buy. As stated above, StartRevApp may edit your Windows Registry and may launch as a background process when you log on Windows. The StartRevApp add-on may read your bookmarks, browsing history and detect your approximate geographical location to help advertisers display related marketing materials. Computer users may want to seek alternatives to StartRevApp regarding homepage optimization and use a trusted anti-spyware utility to remove it.
