SpeedApp is a Possibly Unwanted Program created by Virtue Interactive LTD and very similar to SpeedItApp, SpeedEru, SpeedCheckMe and Rapidup. SpeedApp is promoted as a program that will speed up the Internet, saving time for the computer user. It is a good feature. However, SpeedApp also may display unwanted advertisements when the computer user is online shopping or browsing social networking websites. The advertisements displayed by SpeedApp may offer PC users numerous deals, discount coupons and offers. Clicking on the pop-up advertisements displayed by SpeedApp, the adware may forcibly divert the computer user to suspicious websites. SpeedApp may target and be installed on Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. When installed on the PC, SpeedApp may replace the default homepage and search engine with a compromised website and change the browser settings. When PC users want to look for something on the Web using their default search engine, SpeedApp may display various pop-up advertisements and links that match the computer user's surfing activities. SpeedApp may monitor the computer user's browsing habits, and allocate the information to outsiders for the purpose of targeted marketing.
