EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecard
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:
Ranking: The ranking of a particular threat in EnigmaSoft’s Threat Database.
Severity Level: The determined severity level of an object, represented numerically, based on our risk modeling process and research, as explained in our Threat Assessment Criteria.
Infected Computers: The number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular threat detected on infected computers as reported by SpyHunter.

Skodna.BitCoinMiner.AD is a dangerous Trojan that criminals use to generate Bitcoins by leeching your computer's resources. Bitcoins are an anonymous online currency that is generated by algorithms that run on a computer. While generating Bitcoins is a laborious, slow process, criminals can create Trojans, such as Skodna.BitCoinMiner.AD, that invade a computer, use a computer's resources to generate Bitcoins, and then transmit this online currency to a remote party. ESG security researchers strongly advise computer users to scan their computers with a reliable anti-malware program if they are convinced that they have been exposed to Skodna.BitCoinMiner.AD or other Bitcoin generating Trojans. It is also important to note that Skodna.BitCoinMiner.AD will seldom attack alone. If Skodna.BitCoinMiner.AD is installed on your computer, there is a high probability that your machine has been compromised by other malware, including dangerous rootkit infections that may require a specialized anti-rootkit tool to be removed effectively.
Bitcoins are an innovation that allows the creation of an online economic system that is completely independent and self sustaining. Bitcoins can be exchanged for physical currencies and are also accepted by numerous online businesses (especially those that value a high degree of privacy in their transactions). However, rather than being issued by a central bank, Bitcoins are generated through a process known as Bitcoin mining. This involves running a series of complicated algorithms on a computer, using its processing power to generate this currency. While this is a slow process, criminals have found that they can use their victim's system resources to generate this online currency. Unfortunately, this means that Bitcoin mining Trojans such as Skodna.BitCoinMiner.AD are deadly on a computer's resources. If your computer is infected with Skodna.BitCoinMiner.AD, you will note that your computer's performance is extremely affected. Do not let criminals profit from infecting your computer with malware! Remove Skodna.BitCoinMiner.AD at once and scan your computer with a strong anti-malware program to ensure that other malware has not managed to infect your computer.
The main symptom of a Skodna.BitCoinMiner.AD Trojan infection is a decrease in system performance. If you notice that your computer is using a lot of processing power when it should be idle, or if normal operations are noticeably slower than normal, then your computer may have been infected with Skodna.BitCoinMiner.AD. You should also be on the lookout for suspicious network activity and outgoing traffic.
