Security Toolbar 7.1 is a program that stores itself as an Internet Explorer toolbar once inside a machine. Security Toolbar 7.1 is a potentially unwanted program that is involved in the promotion and distribution of fake security applications such as MSx Antivirus and Antivirus 2009. Security Toolbar 7.1 typically displays a number of fake warning messages or security alerts in order to scare users into purchasing rogue security software. Security Toolbar 7.1 also redirects its' victims' browsers to fake security websites that further promote the rogue security software. Users should not pay attention to the fake notifications displayed by Security Toolbar 7.1; instead users should ensure that they delete it from their computers immediately after detection.
