EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecard
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:
Ranking: The ranking of a particular threat in EnigmaSoft’s Threat Database.
Severity Level: The determined severity level of an object, represented numerically, based on our risk modeling process and research, as explained in our Threat Assessment Criteria.

The Searchmaster.net site is offered to users as a unique homepage that is said to allow them to customize the design of their browser. Searchmaster.net offers Web surfers to compile a list of proffered pages by using the 'Favorite Links' menu in the bottom right corner, as well use the curated selection of wallpapers and change the background image at Searchmaster.net. The Searchmaster.net site includes a weather forecast widget in the top right corner that you need to hover over to trigger the widget to expand and provide information on the weather suited to your physical location. At the top of the page, you will find a search box that behaves like the Omnibox in the Google Chrome and allows users to pull results from Yahoo, as well as open a site directly.
There may be users who may like the functionality of Searchmaster.net, but a browser hijacker add-on popularizes the site at hand. The Searchmaster.net browser hijacker was reported by users who handle freeware bundles with the 'Typical' and 'Express' option. The Searchmaster.net browser hijacker may run as a background service and alter the behavior of Internet clients like Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera and Mozilla Firefox. The browser hijacker at hand is programmed to reroute users to Searchmaster.net and help its owners earn advertising revenue while providing results via Yahoo. Computer security researchers add that the Searchmaster.net browser hijacker is a version of the same browser hijacker associated with Greatsearch.org, Super-search.org and Happysearch.org. The domains mentioned before are registered to the 109.236.87.241 IP address, and their behavior is identical.
You may notice that the Searchmaster.net site does not load results while you have extensions like uBlockOrigin, Adblock Plus and Ghostery enabled. The Searchmaster.net browser hijacker may disable third-party browser extensions, which interfere with the embedded monetization mechanisms on Searchmaster.net. PC users that are rerouted to Searchmaster.net when they open a new tab page and start an online search may want to use a credible anti-malware scanner to clean their machines.
