Search Highlighter declares to make a computer user's Internet surfing more efficient by displaying requests of highlighted text from popular websites such as Wikipedia, Quora, and Yelp. Search Highlighter is categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted program. Search Highlighter is installed on Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox Web browsers without the PC user's consent using misleading tactics. Search Highlighter may typically proliferate and access the computer system through packaged freeware. When installed, Search Highlighter may create and display random pop-up ads and banners or ads related to the computer user's browsing activity because it may be able to trace the PC user's Internet surfing habits.
