The Searchall.network domain is associated with the 138.197.90.251 IP address, and complaints of irregular Web browser behavior have been issued. PC users have reported unsolicited browser redirects from Searchall.network to Google.com and their new tab behaving strangely. Many users have submitted reports that mention Searchall.network and unapproved changes to their new tab page and default search provider. Computer security researchers soon reported that the Searchall.network is used by Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs) and browser hijackers that are packed with free media players, radio players, and screensaver programs distributed via the Internet.
It appears that the traffic to Searchall.network and Google.com is monetized by an unknown third-party. PC users may install browser extensions, plug-ins and program add-ons that may change your Internet settings so that Searchall.network handles search requests and loading content on your new tab page. Public information on the Searchall.network domain and the 138.197.90.251 IP address showed that there are more than three dozen domains linked to questionable browser extensions on the Chrome Web store. The extensions refer to developers like www.medialibraryhub.com, mediarushextension.com, and www.trackpackage.world. However, the extensions listed on those domains lead to blank pages without screenshots and no reviews. For example:
- hxxp://www.mediasearchplugin[.]com promotes an extension called 'Media Search Plugin' that is installed from hxxps://chrome.google[.]com/webstore/detail/media-search-plugin/eeppkjeoaidghhnlbophfikabalpbemh?utm_source=inline-install-disabled and sets the user's default search engine to livemediasearch[.]tools.
- hxxp://www.mediarushextension[.]com promotes an extension called 'Rush Music Search' that is installed from hxxps://chrome.google[.]com/webstore/detail/rush-music-search/idankmdmpgehnmobhdopjpdphfpbcomk?utm_source=inline-install-disabled and sets the user's default search engine to livemediasearch[.]systems.
- hxxp://mediahuntextension[.]com promotes an extension called 'Music Search Tool' that is installed from hxxps://chrome.google[.]com/webstore/detail/music-search-tool/dddnodobcicmpkopfnnefpkpheekdafk?utm_source=inline-install-disabled and sets the user's default search engine to livemediasearch[.]plus.
- hxxp://www.mediasearchnow[.]com promotes an extension called 'Enhanced Media Search' that is installed from hxps://chrome.google[.]com/webstore/detail/enhanced-media-search/jcjpfnefdlimmogflieomnnekebbiedg?utm_source=inline-install-disabled and sets the user's default search engine to mediaaccess[.]lve.
All search services mentioned above are identical to Searchall.network and there are no useful features to expect from the extensions listed above. Third parties are using Searchall.network and related clones to record the search terms you enter on Google and deliver targeted commercials to your Web browser window. It is possible that the browser extension associated with Searchall.network may show links to corrupted pages and expose Web surfers to misleading information on the Internet. You may want to launch a security scan on your PC and remove the programs that may change your Internet settings and cause browser redirects to Searchall.network.
