Rally Toolbar is a toolbar/browser hijacker that was created by scammers to advertise deceptive advertising websites and raise their traffic. Rally Toolbar invades random targeted computer systems packed with other programs, such as free video players, PDF converters and similar tools. Therefore, many PC users get confused to see Rally Toolbar embedded into their Internet browser as they haven't installed it by themselves. Rally Toolbar replaces the default homepage and default search engine to My.rally.io. My.rally.io seems to be a real and trustworthy search engine but, in truth, it doesn't give reliable search results to web users. My.rally.io contains numerous affiliated websites just to push them. Rally Toolbar hijack the vulnerable Internet browser and redirects victims to doubtful advertisement websites created by cybercriminals to make money from the pay-per-click technique. Rally Toolbar keeps track of the affected PC user's online activity and records which websites he/she is visiting and can even disclose the computer user's personal information, like usernames and passwords the victim enters online. All this data can be sent to third parties, which often use it for marketing intention. This way your system is exposed to further attacks.
