RadioSearches

Radio Searches may attempt to entice the audience with various features, the main one being a quick and convenient way to access popular radio stations. However, in reality, it is little more than a Possibly Unwanted Program ()PUP, which promotes a fake search engine most likely for monetary gains. If the users, either knowingly or not, allow Radio Searches to be installed on their computers, the effects would be almost immediate.

The Radio Searches will start doing what its name suggests, and it will take over and modify the browser's default settings. Usually, applications like Radio Searches target the Chrome browser primarily, due to it having the biggest market share, but Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and other popular browsers also can become potential victims. Once it has achieved control over the browser, Radio Searchers sets the homepage, new page tab, and the default search engine to feed.radio-searches.com. On its own, this search engine cannot produce any results, and as a result, it redirects all of the user's search queries through a legitimate search engine, in this case - search.yahoo.com.

Reverting the changes made by Radio Searches could be impossible, while the application is still present on the computer. Users are counseled to take the necessary steps, either manually or by using a professional anti-malware program, towards removing this browser hijacker completely.
