PUP.WebApp is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) that may be downloaded from the Internet when a computer user downloads free applications. PUP.WebApp may result in a variety of PC problems when it is downloaded and installed on the computer system. The PC user may allow the download of PUP.WebApp when he is downloading other free programs from the Internet, or he may download PUP.WebApp as an extra application by mistake if he does not pay enough attention to the installation process of free software. When downloaded and installed, PUP.WebApp may run multiple system processes that may slow down the PC. PUP.WebApp create and display numerous random pop-up advertisements on the PC with the aim to probably generate advertising revenue from clicks on ads. PUP.WebApp may compromise the Web browser and lead to annoying browser diversions to various questionable websites that were designed to possibly gain benefit from increased website traffic of the sponsored website.
