PUP.SmartPcSolutions is known to be a potentially unwanted program (PUP) that may make changes to the custom browser parameters on the Web browser. PUP.SmartPcSolutions may modify the default start page or search engine with a suspicious website, or replace the default tab of the Web browser with a sponsored website any time the PC user attempts to open a blank page. PUP.SmartPcSolutions may be linked to adware and, thus, it may embed unwanted add-ons, plug-ins, browser extensions or toolbars on the Web browser, or carry out other irritating activities on the PC such as display annoying pop-up ads, messages and banners on the computer system. PUP.SmartPcSolutions may take over the Web browser and lead to disturbing browser redirects to questionable websites that were designed with the purpose to possibly generate advertising revenue from raised Internet traffic and ad clicks. PUP.SmartPcSolutions may circulate and install itself onto the computer system as an optional program packaged free applications that computer users can download from unsafe download websites.
