PUP.SkyTech is a potentially unwanted application (PUP), which may be downloaded from the Internet when a PC user downloads various free software. PUP.SkyTech may cause numerous system issues when it is downloaded and installed on the computer system. The computer user may permit the download of PUP.SkyTech when he is downloading other free tools from the Web, or he may download PUP.SkyTech accidentally if he is not enough attentive to the installation process of free software. When the PC user downloads free apps from the Web and does not carefully read the download agreement, he may not be aware of what other potentially unwanted applications may come bundled with the desired freeware he is downloading. Once downloaded and installed, PUP.SkyTech may execute numerous system processes that may decrease the computer's performance. PUP.SkyTech may cover the screen of the PC with various disturbing pop-up ads with the purpose of earning money from ad clicks. PUP.SkyTech may take over the web browser and result in unwanted browser redirects to suspicious websites that were produced to possibly generate revenue from increased website traffic.
