PUP.ScramblePacker is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) that may be downloaded from questionable download websites when a PC user downloads various free programs. PUP.ScramblePacker may result in a variety of computer problems when it is downloaded and installed on the PC. The computer user may agree to download PUP.ScramblePacker when he is downloading other free software, or he may download PUP.ScramblePacker inadvertently by being not enough attentive to the installation process of a free tool. When the computer user downloads a free application from the Internet and does not accurately follow the download agreement, he may not know what extra potentially unwanted programs may come packaged with the free program he is downloading. PUP.ScramblePacker may deliver and show intrusive pop-up ads on the PC. PUP.ScramblePacker may insert an unwanted browser extension, add-on or plug-in into the Web browser. PUP.ScramblePacker may also result in continuous browser redirects to unreliable websites.
