PUP.Sambreel is known to be a potentially unwanted program (PUP) that may modify the custom browser settings on a Web browser of a PC. PUP.Sambreel may change the default start page or search engine with a suspicious website, or modify the default tab of the Web browser with an affiliated website any time a PC user attempts to open a new page. PUP.Sambreel may be connected with adware and browser hijackers and, thus, it may embed unwanted toolbars or carry out other annoying activities on the PC such as display annoying pop-up ads. PUP.Sambreel may take over the Web browser and lead to repeated browser redirects to suspicious websites that were designed with the purpose to possibly gain benefit from raised website traffic and ad clicks. PUP.Sambreel may circulate and enter the computer system as an optional tool packaged with free programs that computer users can download from questionable download websites.
