iLivid is a download manager that may allow you to download videos from various platforms such as YouTube. This tool should supposedly help you to store other page elements on your hard drives as well. In most cases, the offered features seem to be working properly, but you should know that iLivid may possess many side effects. This product, which is created and distributed by Bandoo Media Inc, is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP). The reason security experts add it to this suspicious software category is that iLivid may interfere with the configuration of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. It may replace the default homepage with Searchnu.com. Although this search site resembles legit engines, you should not trust it. Instead of accurate results that correspond to the terms you type, searchnu.com may display links that may redirect you to affiliate sites.
To increase traffic to its partners even more, iLivid may show pop-ups, banners, animations and interstitial ads. They may come as an addition towards the already present page-based commercial materials, so your browsers may become overwhelmed with marketing elements. This performance may leave PC users unhappy because it is not enjoyable to see the same ads wherever you go. Depending on the hardware and your online habits, this adware may even cause real functionality issues.
