Protected Surf is an adware application that is a potentially unwanted program loading up from previously installed freeware programs or bundled software apps. When loaded, the Protected Surf adware is apt to display random pop-up ads. The Protected Surf ads may come in different forms as pop-unders, banners or the traditional pop-up box. Use of the Protected Surf ads may redirect your web browser to unwanted pages or sites that claim to offer additional services over the internet. The Protected Surf ads are also known to reduce performance of common web browser applications making it difficult or cumbersome to surf the internet in a normal fashion. Removal of the Protected Surf program and all of its related components is necessary to eliminate all pop-up ads that it generates.
