Program:Win32/Pameseg.H is a Trojan that attempts to extort money from unaware PC users. Program:Win32/Pameseg.H encourages affected computer users to send a text message to a given number, that would later fool PC users by supposedly offering to install various paid software programs, that are, in truth, free of charge. Program:Win32/Pameseg.H shows a bogus pop-up message on the victim's desktop generated in French. The harmful application declares that it will install an MSN messenger, Internet Explorer, Adobe Flash Player, VLC Player, Windows Media Player, OpenOffice, Outlook Express, Counter Strike, Avira Antivirus, Audacity and many other, but if you follow its instructions you will notice that the application you're getting to install needs an activation code that will only be obtained after you send out a text message to the given number. When activated, Program:Win32/Pameseg.H asks you to select a particular software program you need to install. Then, victims have to agree with the terms and conditions, and eventually, only after sending the SMS, the so-called code is obtained that would supposedly permit affected users to fully install the specific program. Also, Program:Win32/Pameseg.H can alter your web browser homepage to forcibly reroute you to one of its web pages called pucuy.com, yaape.com or wiiqi.com.
