Pricezilla is advertised as a browser extension that will help you shop smarter and is available for free download for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari. However, most installations of Pricezilla are conducted through freeware installers bundled with Pricezilla. Security experts perceive Pricezilla as adware that attempts to look like a legitimate application by the PriceZilla shopping platform. However, the Pricezilla adware is programmed to flood your web browser with ads loaded in banners, contextual commercials, pop-ups, and pop-unders. The ads by Pricezilla may limit your browser surface, and you might be provided with links to unsafe content. Keep in mind that visiting compromised websites may result in the installation of potentially harmful software. Security experts note that the Pricezilla adware is an advertising platform used by adware developers to earn pay-per-click revenue. The Pricezilla adware can be automatically installed on your PC by handling a freeware package via the 'Express' or 'Typical' option. You should note that the Pricezilla adware can record you entered URLs, visited web pages, search terms and use the data to deliver you targeted advertisements. Computer users can use a trusted anti-spyware utility to remove the Pricezilla adware from their PC.
