While online shopping, computer users may be affected by numerous advertisements displayed by a free program called Price Clip. Price Clip may have entered their computers while they were installing a free software acquired from an unknown source. One method a computer may encounter Price Clip is via 'bundling', which means that an additional program is added to the installation process of a third-party application, and if the computer user doesn't opt out of its installation, the bundled program will be installed automatically. Another adverse action performed by Price Clip is to lead computer users to questionable websites. Price Clip uses system resources that may affect the machine's performance and closely monitors the computer user's activities in order to collect leads for additional advertisements. Computer users that are being affected by adware such as Price Clip should pay attention when installing a free program, so they can refuse the installation of unwanted applications by selecting Custom installation.
