EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:

The PriceChomper program is deployed to users embedded with popular free programs as a product comparison tool that will help users 'bite out of markup' and save money. However, you might want to know that security experts classify the PriceChomper program as adware because it does not have a valid digital certificate despite featuring a logo from TRUSTe. The main objective of the PriceChomper adware is to pile as many promotions as possible on your browser surface and generate pay-per-click revenue for its creators. The PriceChomper adware employs tracking cookies and DOM storage data to display interstitial ads. The PriceChomper adware uses traditional forms of advertising such as banners, pop-up and pop-under windows, too. Moreover, it can load full-page ads when you browse Amazon and eBay and show video ads while you are on YouTube. Security experts note that the PriceChomper adware may insert inline ads on non-affiliated websites and replace the sponsored links on Google and Bing when you do a search. Also, the PriceChomper adware might use a background service to read the metadata of websites and your browser cache. That way the PriceChomper adware can display a product comparison window with offers related to products you put in your online basket. Keep in mind that adware such as PriceChomper may direct you to visit suspicious websites via insecure protocols. The PriceChomper adware may appear on your 'Programs and Features' list but may not have a functional uninstaller. Users infected with the PriceChomper adware may experience slower browser performance and be offered to install third-party apps like WebProtect and iWON Toolbar that have a bad reputation. Therefore, you may wish to consider using a reliable anti-spyware utility to eradicate the PriceChomper adware safely.
