The PPS Video Player is at the core of the PPS Net TV Chinese peer-to-peer streaming video platform, and can be found on Ppsplayer.com. The PPS Video Player software is developed by Shanghai Zhongyuan Networks Limited and PPStream Inc publishes it. Security experts note that the PPS Video Player is deemed as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that may travel incorporated with free program installers and show pop-up and pop-under windows in your browser to advertise movies, TV series and music videos from China. PPS Video Player is classified as PUP because it may install a browser plug-in on your computer and show many pop-up windows while you are not registered for a subscription on the PPS Net TV platform. The pop-ups by PPS Video Player are meant to be an incentive for users to subscribe to services by PPS Net TV and choose what promotions and videos they are interested in.
The PPS Video Player may allow users to watch trailers for upcoming movies and music clips on the Chinese scene, but non-Mandarin speakers may not find it useful. The PPS Video Player may edit your Windows Registry to handle MKV, MP4, AVI, DIVX, MPEG, WEBM and FLV file formats and become your default video player. The interface of the PPS Video Player includes an interactive sidebar that lists TV series and clips from PPS Net TV that may be added to your playlist automatically. Users that are not interested in content from PPS Net TV might not like the functionality of the PPS Video Player and want to remove it. You can uninstall the PPS Video Player and delete residual files by using a credible anti-malware tool.
