'Please Install HD Player to Continue' also known as 'Please Install Media Player HD Player to Continue', is a bogus pop-up warning message, which is used scammers to install an adware application and other malicious tools on compromised PCs. 'Please Install HD Player to Continue' Virus proliferates stealthily through infected websites, or genuine websites that have been hijacked, spam email messages, which carry malevolent attachments or links to damaging websites. 'Please Install HD Player to Continue' Virus may also be downloaded manually by tricking the victimized computer user into believing he/she is installing a valuable program. 'Please Install HD Player to Continue' Virus also spreads via peer-to-peer file sharing websites and is often bundled with pirated or illegitimately acquired applications. On infectious or hijacked websites, scammers will show a pop-up box, which claims that Flash Player needs to be updated. If the computer user clicks on the 'Recommended Download' button, instead of installing a Flash Player update, he/she will agree to install an adware application or another harmful program. 'Please Install HD Player to Continue' Virus may install toolbars (Babylon Toolbar, Delta Toolbar), adware programs (Yontoo, DealPly, CouponBuddy) or other malware infections on the targeted PC. 'Please Install HD Player to Continue' Virus is produced specifically to make a profit. 'Please Install HD Player to Continue' Virus boosts web traffic, gathers sales leads for other misleading websites, and shows disturbing pop-up advertisements and sponsored links within the compromised Internet browser.
