Pesquisa.ninja is an unpopular Brazilian search engine that attracts the attention of computer security specialists thanks to the illicit practices it may use to generate traffic. A significant amount of the traffic generated by Pesquisa.ninja is owed to an annoying browser hijacker that may be stealthily installed on the computers of unsuspecting users. The browser hijacker associated with Pesquisa.ninja is very likely to be distributed via software bundles, but it may use other methods of propagation too. Once the browser hijacker is installed, it can detect the user's web browsers and modify their settings so that they take the user to Pesquisa.ninja whenever the user opens their web browser.
Having Pesquisa.ninja set as your homepage and default search engine may not be a big issue, but the browser hijacker may also prevent you from reverting the changes. This means that to restore the web browser's ordinary configuration, the user has to deal with the browser hijacker that made the unwanted changes. Removing the Pesquisa.ninja browser hijacker manually may not be possible, so users are advised to adopt a more professional approach that involves the use of an updated and reliable anti-malware application. Perform a full system scan using reliable antivirus software and delete any identified threats. This should prevent the browser hijacker from injecting Pesquisa.inja in your web browser again.
