Computer users that like to install free software with the 'Express' or 'Typical' option may become infected with a program named PC Maximum Cleaner. PC Maximum Cleaner will display various pop-up windows in your browser that may seem legitimate due to the implementation of the Windows shield icon that can be seen in its 'Control Panel'. Also, the 'Windows Network Defender' pop-ups may claim that your browsing activity has been restricted due to a security issue, and you should call 877-777-5203 to get help to solve the problem. Users that experience the Windows Network Defender alerts need to know that this program impersonates a security application but is nothing more than an adware that is created to scare users with suggestions about security breaches and promote fake technical support services. The adware that is responsible for the PC Maximum Cleaner may suggest you to install rogue software, PUPs and similar content. Those apps will not protect you; instead, it may turn off your Windows Firewall and expose you to advanced cyber threats.
