EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecard
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:
Ranking: The ranking of a particular threat in EnigmaSoft’s Threat Database.
Severity Level: The determined severity level of an object, represented numerically, based on our risk modeling process and research, as explained in our Threat Assessment Criteria.
Infected Computers: The number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular threat detected on infected computers as reported by SpyHunter.

The PCEasyNow software from PCEasyNow.com is promoted as a trusty system optimization utility developed by a Microsoft Gold Certified partner. The PCEasyNow app has an official page that can be accessed via the URL hxxp://www.pceasynow[.]com. The site suggests that the software developers at PCEasyNow.com are trusted partners of Microsoft and Intel, as well as their site being whitelisted by Verisign. However, the "trusted" logos and stamps on hxxp://www.pceasynow[.]com are misleading. The PCEasyNow software product is not the work of a Microsoft Gold Certified company and the hxxp://www.pceasynow[.]com site lacks proper authentication according to modern-day standards. Additionally, Intel does not confirm the partnership with PCEasyNow.com.
We have received reports of a questionable activity regarding the PCEasyNow system optimizer in November 2017 and conducted an investigation. Lab tests showed that PCEasyNow is poorly configured and flags temporary Internet files as dangerous objects. Also, the scan reports featured an abundance of critical errors on a freshly installed system. The PCEasyNow was programmed to add an entry to the startup list and generate pop-up windows to promote the PRO version of the program, which is not troubling if you disregard the fact that the pop-ups include "critical error reports." PC users who install the PCEasyNow software may receive a disturbing number of system warnings and be harassed to subscribe to a monthly fee for the PCEasyNow PRO software. We have seen the PCEasyNow.com developers use the insecure page on hxxp://www.pceasynow[.]com/register.php for registering users. You might be suggested that PCEasyNow can improve your system's performance significantly but that is likely to be an overstatement, and you might be provided with misleading scan results to make you subscribe to PCEasyNow PRO for 60 USD a month. The PCEasyNow software product is deemed as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP), which is known to trigger AV shields and cause alerts that include the following detection names:
- PUP.Optional.PCEasyNow
- PUP/PCFixSpeed
- Program.Unwanted.79
- Trojan.BHO!1.66E4 (CLASSIC)
- Trojan.IGENERIC
- Unsafe.AI_Score_99%
- W32.HfsAdware.77D9
