PBlock+

PBlock+ advertises itself as a pop-up blocker and tries to entice users into installing it. However, the truth is that the application is little more than adware tasked with the delivery of sponsored advertisements on the computer it is present on. Users who installed PBlock+ will experience frequent interferences while using their browser in the form of new tabs being opened.

The tabs generated by PBlock+ will contain various dubious advertisements for shady software. In most cases, these are different PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) and suspicious software updates that also could deliver PUPs. Users also could be redirected to technical support tactics that try to obtain information by employing deceitful social-engineering tactics.

Clicking on any of the advertisements delivered by PBlock+ creates even more privacy concerns. Not to mention that PBlock+ itself can access the entire browsing history of the user. It is recommended to remove the application as soon as possible even if do find some of its features as useful.
