PathMaxx is adware which may display random pop-up advertisements, offers, discount coupons, deals and sponsored links on the PC. PathMaxx may forcibly reroute PC users to suspicious websites that may be commercial and produced to possibly generate advertising revenue from commercial ad clicks and raised traffic of the website. PathMaxx may be installed into any Web browser installed on the computer system incorporating Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. The main purpose of PathMaxx may be to encourage computer users click on random pop-up advertisements or advertisements pertaining to the computer user's surfing activity to earn money from clicks on ads. The pop-up ads and messages of PathMaxx may be inserted into hijacked search results in any popular search engine. PathMaxx may be distributed and infiltrate into the PC through packaged freeware that computer users can download from questionable download websites on the Internet.
