The OurWorld Toolbar is one of the many browser hijacking browser extensions that are associated with the infamous, low-quality Conduit search engine. The OurWorld Toolbar is a browser hijacker that is bundled along with freeware applications. The OurWorld Toolbar is not programmed to help computer users to accomplish online searches. Rather, OurWorld Toolbar is designed to expose computer users to advertisements and sponsored affiliate marketing links, generating revenue at the expense of the computer user. The OurWorld Toolbar may also gather information about your searches and online activity, which can then be sold to marketers and other parties interested in delivering advertisements to your computer or tracking your online activity.

Although the OurWorld Toolbar is not Malware, It is Better Off of Your PC
The OurWorld Toolbar is not, in reality, a malware infection. However, the OurWorld Toolbar may cause numerous symptoms that are more commonly associated with low level threats. It is usually a good idea to remove the OurWorld Toolbar at once, especially because the OurWorld Toolbar can significantly interfere with your normal use of the infected computer. PC security analysts typically refer to the OurWorld Toolbar and similar browser extensions as PUPs, or Potentially Unwanted Programs. There are several ways of becoming infected with the OurWorld Toolbar. The most common way of acquiring these types of PUPs is by downloading and installing free software that has been bundled with OurWorld Toolbar or another PUP. It should be noted that even legitimate software may be bundled with PUPs, although there is a possibility of opting out of installing them. ESG security analysts strongly recommend paying attention when installing any new software on your computer and always opting out of installing any components not directly related to the software in question, especially browser extensions or toolbars.
Do not Allow the OurWorld Toolbar to Expose Your PC to a Malicious Content
To stop redirects, advertisements and other symptoms associated with the OurWorld Toolbar, it is first necessary to remove this browser extension. Once this has been done, malware analysts recommend the use of a reliable anti-malware application to scan the infected computer in order to ensure that the OurWorld Toolbar has not exposed your computer to more dangerous malicious content. Finally, it may be necessary to revert the changes made to your Web browser or computer settings manually (for example, changing your homepage and default search engine back to their normal setting).
